Launched in Aug. 07, Baby Bambu was born out of a desire to give parents a new, environmentally friendly choice in the clothing they dress their children in. Bamboo fibre is an exceptional fabric; silky and softer than pima cotton, naturally hypoallergenic, anti-bacterial, provides UV protection, etc. (perfect for infants and children).

We asked real Moms what they look for and need - they said practical, soft, cute but not fussy. So we’ve started with the basics. The overall look of the line is simple; classic, gender-neutral styles and shapes but with a punch of color and unexpected details. Additionally, we wanted to do a more fun, modern variation of the traditional 'blue' and 'pink'. The initial products also feature our signature panda; he's cute and cuddly, but he's also a reference to the 'green' factor - the focus is really on the fabric. When people feel the fabric, they are truly surprised at how soft and good it feels. The design aesthetic is a mix of Dwell meets Restoration Hardware; high quality classics with a little spunk. We also want to show people that they can make conscious choices about the things they buy without sacrificing quality, style or substance.
